Conveniently situated at the very heart of this wonderful city, this apartment is positioned just minutes away from Barcelona’s renowned La Rambla. Spanning over 1.2 km and lined with cafes, restaurants and shops, the busy avenue attracts thousands of visitors every single day. La Rambla originally derived from a small stream which ran through the city and flowed out into the tranquil waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Today it bustles with activity and is where many of the city’s fabulous street performers gather to provide passers-by with fun and entertainment.
Towards the centre of La Rambla, you will find Barcelona’s famous La Boqueria Market, which dates back to the 1200s and boasts a huge array of fresh, local produce amongst the hundreds of colourful stalls. Also nearby is the fantastic Guell Palace, which was designed by the well-known, local architect Antoni Gaudi in the late 1800s. The Palace was once used by the prominent tycoon Eusebi Guell as a place to entertain high society guests and exhibits an impressive main hall which is a sight not to be missed. The front of Guell Palace features huge, iconic archways, which were used as an entrance for guests arriving by horse drawn carriages.
