Location

Given that the apartment is found in one of the most exciting locations in the city, the array of breathtaking sights and attractions should come as no wonder. With many Gothic buildings, like the magnificent Church of Santa Maria del Mar, just around the corner, the area is a must-see for anyone keen on exploring the origin of Barcelona.

The nearby district of El Gotico is where everything related to the city began. Known by many names, i.e. the Gothic Quarter, Barrio Gotico or, simply, the Old Town, it is the true heart of Barcelona. It is also the oldest part of the city, full of exciting architecture and constituting a labyrinth of narrow winding alleys and innumerable squares, injected with a spirit of history to a large extent, but at the same time offering plenty of friendly and laidback cafés, bars and pubs. This part of the city is also closed to regular traffic, so you can enjoy exploring the area at your own pace, stopping by at anything you find attractive – and such occasions will be many!

Verging on the edge of Sant Pere Santa Caterina i la Ribera and Barceloneta, the neighborhood is well-served with modern public transport. With only a few steps away from the beach, it offers quality nightlife, but at the same time amazes with the multitude of beautiful traditional buildings, many of which date back as early as the 14th century. A place to be for both those into active diversion, as well as contemplative leisure.
